As an aspiring PR girl, seeing this at the top of my feed eased my worries. Especially while I’m looking for employment post-grad and trying to move to California.
In my continuing blog series of seeing where some of my very talented fashion friends started in this wonderful industry, today’s profile is Nylon’s socialite hipster (my words) style director at large (their words), Dani Stahl. Dani has broken fashion boundaries in so many ways, she beats to her…

A stunning Jennifer Lawrence at The Hunger Games premiere.
I brought The Hunger Games fever to Catherine Nicole! Thanks to the AMAZING wardrobe (that I can’t wait to see), I got to blog about it for Style Clouds yesterday. Tonight’s the midnight showing! I’M SO EXCITED!
I also included the whimsical dresses from Mirror Mirror, 20s themed fashion from The Great Gatsby, and the Pretty Little Liars at their masquerade ball. Check out my post here.
I’ve been on the hunt for a new watch ever since I received my gorgeous University of Texas class ring. The ring is yellow gold, so my silver watch wasn’t cutting it anymore. I also prefer yellow gold in accessories in general. Rustic and bohemian.
Being incredibly picky, I wanted something timeless (I’m prepared for the price tag that comes with that), but very characteristic of my personal style that I am still crafting. I love chunky, statement accessories since I tend to wear simple silhouettes and classic neutral basics.
Magically, like she could hear my style plea, Kate Spade debuted her new watch line. Said line carries the perfect watch. See it here.
You are cordially invited to attend the commencement ceremony of Amy Hoang, who will be receiving her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin
It’s kind of like winning an Oscar in the Academy of College Undergraduates. That diploma will be my statuette displayed in my home with hopes of everyone seeing this degree that I am so proud of. If I was standing in front of press giving my post-acceptance speech, it would probably go something like this…
Press: Amy, what are your plans after receiving this prestigious diploma?
Me: somethingsomethingsomethingsomethingCALIFORNIA

Sunshine state, I’m coming for you. Even if I have to go through multiple job sites to do so.

Highlights from the happenings of my last semester of college… The real world is excitingly close, but I don’t want my friends to go too far away.

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day. I owe it to all the lovers out there who would rather share the good feelings than spend a whole day despising the “Hallmark holiday”.
This Valentine’s Day I’ll remember for sure. Not only was I reminded of how incredibly thoughtful my friends are, but of the bonds we’ve formed. The most meaningful friendships revolve around people who genuinely value the other, and tonight I could feel the love.
There are people who really, really love you. They want you to know that.
I dedicate this post to an amazing friend (this is a picture of us from three years ago). We can go months without talking to each other, but manage to carry on like we never missed a day in each other’s lives. She is tonight’s inspiration because we caught up with each other a week ago after not seeing each other for almost 8 months!
A little over three years ago, I moved away from home to go to a college in a brand new city. When I got there, I knew nobody. I was on my own for the first time. To be honest, the first thought in my mind was that, at 18, I was way too damn young to be doing this!
Luckily, the first person I met became my friend, my shoulder to lean on, my confidant, my Pilates partner, my daily dinner date, my study buddy… the list goes on. She was everything I needed her to be during my freshman year of college.
Her name is Stephanie and she was my roommate. Now she’s one of my best friends, and we’re going to be friends forever!
My recent post about her was a little preview to what I would be working on at my internship! Here’s the finished blog.
